THE KLEIN RIVER
The source of the Klein River starts in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in Hermanus on the farm called Diep Gat.
It flows all the way behind the Klein River Mountains turns near Caledon, flows through the rich Akkedisberg Pass,
into Stanford and 15 km later joins the lagoon of Hermanus where it eventually reaches the sea.
The Klein River features more than 127 kinds of birds as well as a variety of salt & fresh water fish, including bass.
Otter's, terrapins and various other indigineous animals are also found here.
STANFORD
Stanford is a tranquil rural village which has much to offer the tourist,
including hiking, horse riding, off-road trails, canoeing and boating in close proximity.
Stanford features well renowned eateries and has most facilities available such
as grocery stores, coffee shops, internet facilities etc.
Visitors can escape from the bustling prime Whale and Shark watching areas 25km away
