Impangele lies near the base of the Langeberg mountain range and offers superb accommodation, furnished in tasteful contemporary African style, and boasts a peaceful indigenous garden, with mountain views. The house has been adapted to provide maximum ease and comfort for any disabled visitors.
Your hosts, David and Amanda Shackley, will warmly welcome you to their beautiful home in Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa. There is a choice of self catering in the garden cottage or bed and breakast in the main house.
The spacious en-suite rooms in the main house are beautifully furnished in contemporary African style. There is television, the facility to make fresh African coffee and tea, and, when available, tasty home – cooked treats to welcome you. There are original African artworks and a wonderful library of South African writers for you to enjoy. David and Amanda are happy to organise personal tours for you, and can arrange a driver for responsible wine tasting! Their breakfast platter is legendary and is complemented by freshly squeezed oranges, fresh bread and many other goodies.
The spacious, fully self contained garden cottage is separate from the main house. It has two double bedrooms, a double sofa bed in the living area (which also boasts television, playstation and CD player) bath/shower room and a fully fitted kitchen. Breakfast on your patio overlooking the garden with beautiful views, and in the evening enjoy a braai.
Despite all this luxury, David and Amanda are determined to remain realistic in their pricing policy, and so their prices range from R120 to R250 per person per night, and their single person supplement is only R20.
