Jenny and Jozi, with chef Joy Smith, run a rustic country restaurant in the heart of vineyards and farmlands in the picturesque Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, Hermanus.
We like to offer our guests a relaxed family atmosphere and cook sophisticated country style food. Everything from our bread to our ice-cream is homemade, prepared daily from fresh seasonal fare, so booking is essential. We offer a small a la carte menu which changes weekly.
We have in and outside dining with spectacular views of the valley and a dramatic back drop of the Babylonstoring mountain. In winter guests can enjoy an aperitif at the roaring log fire. Our informal shop offers family art and local produce fresh from the farm.
We believe in honest food and keeping things simple. Our opening times are:
LUNCHES from Wednesdays to Sundays
DINNER on Saturdays.
A three course meal can range from R100 to R130, depending on the menu.
Our venue lends itself to functions and is simply great for a country style wedding. Seating capacity seating is 50–55 or 60 with a bit of a sqeeze. We have had larger functions with the hire of a marquee on the front lawn.
