Situated at the foot of the Potberg mountains on the border of the De Hoop Nature Reserve, this is a working Overberg farm – the farming activities include wheat, sheep, ostriches and a dairy. The self-catering cottage has a private entrance and two lovely en-suite double rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, but delicious farmstyle meals are served on request. This is the perfect base to explore the whole Cape Agulhas region, especially De Hoop, Potberg, Malgas and Infanta.
Of special interest is the only remaining colony of the Cape Griffen Vultures in the Western Cape which is breeding on Potberg and feeds on the farm. Large flocks of Blue Crane may be seen in winter and breeding pairs in summer.
