Just walk across the road and savour an uncrowded Beach, where you can have a leisurely stroll, a romantic picnic, sunbathe, or a refreshing sundowner.
We are in close proximity to a variety of tourist attractions, great restaurants and pubs and within walking distance to La Lucia Mall and Virgin Active Gym.
Umhlanga Rocks is known internationally as the holiday meca of KwaZulu-Natal, with it's magnificent beaches and friendly locals.
KZN has some fantastic Game parks offering safari tours in which you have a chance of seeing Africa's Big Five. The beautiful Drakensberg Mountains offer Skiing; quad tours up and down Sani Pass (passports are necessary) KZN also boasts the Valley of 1000 Hills, Zulu Dancing and Township Tours for that cultural experience. There are four world class Golf courses, Dolphin viewing, Whale watching, Deep sea diving and Game fishing nearby, just to name a few.
All units have been tastefully decorated and we can accommodate a total of fourteen guests.
Seaside Cottage 1is a family unit which canaccommodate one - six people. The unit has an air-conditioner in the lounge area, as well as in the main bedroom. There is a king size bed in the main bedroom and two sets of bunk beds, with extra thick mattress for comfort, in the open plan lounge area. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin. The unit has been fitted with a family fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There is a safe, a colour TV, full DSTV Channels (card provided), a DVD player, and a mini hi-fi/radio/CD player. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Seaside Cottage 1 has a garden with a covered patio area and Webber braai.
Seaside Cottage 2 can accommodate one - six people. This unit is a cosy two bedroomed unit with both bedrooms upstairs. There are two single beds pushed together to make a king size bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom, with a double sleeper couch downstairs. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin. The unit has been fitted with a family fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. There is a safe, a colour TV, and full DSTV Channels 9card provided). We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. Seaside Cottage 2 has a covered patio area and Webber braai.
Seaside Cottage 3- backpackers, is our ”backpackers" unit and can accommodate one - two people. This is a small unit andhas a microwave, bar fridge, tea/coffee facilities, but no cooking facilities. There is a colored TV with SABC1,2,3 and E-TV. Full DSTV is available at an extra charge per night. The beds are a set of bunk beds, with extra thick mattress for comfort. The top bunk can be removed to accommodate a single person. The “bathroom” is a shower, toilet and hand basin, en-suite. We provide linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels. This unit can be rented together, with either Seaside Cottage 1 or Seaside Cottage 2 or can be rented on its own.
We offer safe secure parking for one car per unit and all the Cottages are serviced three times a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Except public holidays.
We have been awarded 4 star status by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and are members of the National Accommodation Association of Southern Africa (NAASA), FEDHASA, Umhlanga Bed and Breakfast Association, Umhlanga Tourism and Tourism KZN.
