Sonstraal Guesthouse is only a 2 minute walk from the beach, at the edge of Muizenberg. Sonstraal offer 8 tastefully decorated B&B rooms, of which 6 have en suite bathrooms. Sonstraal also has several self-catering units with fully equiped kitchens: Cottages (4-6 pers.) some with their own terrace and Studios (2 pers.). The self catering units do not include breakfast. Guests can also make use of the pool and "braai" (barbeque) areas and covered terraces.
Muizenberg was once the most famous beach resort of the Cape. The beach is still beautiful and stretches as far as you can see (or walk). Also, the Vlei (lagoon) is still right on our doorstep, with its Kingfishers, enormous picnic area and water sport possibilities.
Children can have great fun at the big pool with water slide, miniature golf course and playing area on the beach edge in the village. The sea is also very children friendly as the water gets deep very gradually.
Sonstraal Guesthouse can accommodate groups of up to 32 people (with sleepers up to 38)
Behind the main (B&B) house, there are several self catering units and cottages, which can be used for groups.
We can offer accommodation for all sorts of groups such as sports teams, school trips, family and tour groups or small conference groups.
Accommodation is sharing (2 persons per room or studio and/or 4 persons per cottage) but the price is very competitive, up to 40% discount is possible from our normal rates. >
