Originally a hunting lodge and one of the oldest homes in Sea Point. Completely renovated with a trendy, luxurious and charming touch. A spacious garden with a big salt water pool. Bickley House is the oldest house in Sea Point and is classified as a national monument. From the beginning it was an old hunting lodge. The house is built of granite stone walls which makes the house very cool in the summer and keeps it warm in the winter. Bickley House has 4 double rooms. All bedrooms are very tranquil and our beds are big, wide and comfortable. On request they can be semi-detached. We only use 100% cotton sheets for the beds. All rooms have high ceilings and a relaxing atmosphere.
Every room contains radiators and under floor heating, gowns, slippers, hairdryer, pool towels, ceiling fan, adapter and a safe. We offer free internet access and wireless network for laptops, DVD player, library and safe off-street parking. We have a large saltwater swimming pool that is unique for its size and design. Children are welcome.
The large breakfast buffet is served from 08h00 -10h00 on our terrace or in our lounge. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and sherry are complimentary and can be enjoyed by the guests at all times.
The Beach Promenade is 5 minutes away, and the shops are within walking distance. Airport transfers, taxi, car rental, safari, tours and dinner reservations can be arranged for the guests by us. We know the best options and prices. We have a great knowledge of what is happening in Cape Town and what you as our guest might like to see and do.
Bickley House also has Kia Picanto cars which we rent out to our guests on a daily basis.
Rooms are ready for occupation from 14h00. Check-out time is 10h00. Should a room be required during the day of departure, please ensure to book an extra night as we are unable to offer a late check-out.
If the guest should plan to travel outside Cape Town we can recommend the best options of places to stay. For their convenience we are happy to book accommodation for them in advance to ensure availability and a good rate.
We also work closely with some very good guesthouses in the Western Cape Area and will gladly assist with a proposal for a suitable itinerary.
